efi|soft is a french national group of experts dedicated to the control command software development of all ELT instruments. efi|soft covers :
- control and supervision of technical and scientific detection devices
- control and supervision of instruments functionnalities
- coordination af all instruments subsystems, e.g. the telescope or the adaptive optics system.
efi|soft goal is to :
- Value the experience gained on VLT instruments design;
- Streamline developments with the help of a pool of experts on all ELT projects, mutualizing shared solutions;
- Capitalize knowledge and know-how for all ELT projects;
- Sustain resources and minimize the immediate impact of a missing team member;
- Train new team members;
- Obtain ESO recognition, coordinated by INSU.
